KUIU Ranger 2200 First Impressions After 40+ Pound Rucks
I’ve been really impressed with the KUIU Ranger 2200 so far. Honestly, it’s a much bigger upgrade over the old Venture series than I expected. The frame and suspension are way more solid than they look in photos. I’ve been rucking with 35–40 pounds in it regularly and it carries the weight extremely well. I also loaded a 60-pound concrete bag in it to test it out and while you definitely feel it in the shoulders at that weight, the pack handled it far better than I expected for a daypack-sized system. Compared to my old Venture 2200, the Ranger feels much more structured and stable under load. The foam, shoulder straps, and belt are all very comfortable, and the layout is extremely well thought out. The zippers, organization, and compression system all feel refined and intentional. This past fall my brother and I each packed out half a bone-in antelope. He was using the Ranger 2200 while I was using the older Venture 2200. The difference in load carrying was very noticeable. For Arizona-style truck-based hunting, this pack is more capable than people probably realize. I think it would easily handle: * whole Coues deer pack-outs * boned-out mule deer loads * heavy day hunting loads * optics-heavy scouting setups For day hunting Coues deer, this pack is going to be excellent. Plenty of room for 15s, spotter, tripod, layers, food, and water without feeling oversized. One thing I did notice initially was a little squeaking near the top of the frame during the first few uses. It wasn’t a huge issue and it has completely gone away after using the pack more over the last couple weeks. Overall, I think KUIU nailed this pack. It fills the gap between a lightweight daypack and a true frame pack really well.

Legit backpack
Awesome, 1-2 day's, compact and lightweight backpack for bombing around the mountains. Fits just enough gear that you will need. Very versatile at well.

Comfortable day pack
Great pack. Little smaller than I thought. Comfortable and will use a lot.
