Salish Sea

Excellent tea

I ordered the Salish Sea, Byzantium, and Borealis teas. They were all exceptional. The Salish Sea is pretty briny. If you are sensitive to the taste of sea brine, it may not suit you. Personally I thought it was really nice. All teas are very nuanced and thoughtfully made.

Unexpected Love

I’m not sure what I expected, but I did not expect to fall in love with this one. It unexpectedly aligned exactly with a certain feel that I’ve been sinking into. Untamed ocean, a bit of elegant woods, liminal places where land and forest meet sea. I’ve gone so far as three shorter brews with this and while the first two are my preference, even the third is pleasant (just lighter). While it’s not briny per se, there’s something that does give a subtle coastal feel to this for me. I would say it evokes more coastal woods than wooded coast, if that makes sense. This and Huntress are my two most favorites at the moment. I also find it particularly beautiful to watch as it brews.
