Why are these so hard to put on?

It took me about an hour to get the pins through and get the backs on them. Is it just me?? I’m dubious if the locking backs will actually stay put during a day of wear. I’ll find out tomorrow!

Life savers ✨✨

Why are these so hard to put on?
