Phone did not work.

Unfortunately even though my Samsung had a tick for eSIM, it didn't work so I had no access while away. Was a real nuisance as could not access my spending money but still had a great time. Definitely not your problem. I need to get a new phone. My friend used her eSIM and it worked perfectly.

eSim - China

PrePaid Sims are not only economical, they are reliable and they have such a friendly customer service. No question is too much. I have used these sims in three continents so far without any issues, both physical sim and esims.

Be patient

I bought 2 eSim and 1 physical sim. All 3 worked fine initially. A few days later, the physical sim became "unavailable" for unknown reasons. Turning the phone off and on did not solve the problem. I simply turned the phone off. When I turned the phone on after a few days, the physical sim worked again! For the eSim I turned on flight mode when I flew from Xian to Shanghai. When I turned off flight mode, the eSim did not work. Turning the phone off and on did not solve the problem. Two hours later the eSim worked again, but became unstable. They dropped out without warning in the middle of a route direction. My conclusion is that it is better to have a backup plan for a China eSim or Sim. I did not have such problem for a Japan sim.
