Pure Chicory

Found this very flavorful and easy to prepare. I have been drinking chicory root beverages for several years because of stomach issues, so I regularly try different blends, brands. This the first time I tried a liquid chicory concentrate. It was very simple to prepare and I had no problems with acid or anything. It is not sweetened, so I added a little sugar. The flavor is very bright. When I pour it, it looks like thick syrup. Enjoy.

It was my first time trying chicory coffee. I mixed it with my coffee about a half a teaspoon, and it really removed the bitterness while preserving the coffee flavor. I don't use sugar with my coffee. I will experiment with vanilla extract next.

I have had this concentrate for over a month now. Liquid chicory is very rare and at this price this is excellent value. For me this has been a healthier summer routine. Caffeine will give me jitters and dehydration if I drink it, so chicory is a great substitute. Drinking it cold: I have only used instant chicory before, so I was not sure about the dosage. I tried half a teaspoon and it gave me a very mellow beverage. I tried one teaspoon for a standard glass and got a full-flavored chicory beverage with its natural sweet note. It is about as thick as maple syrup, so it easily dissolves in water, no clumps, no grits. I liked the fact that you can just mix it in cold water and drink. To me this is a high grade product with genuine consistent flavor. Chicory provides inulin fiber. I will add this concentrate to my chicory roster.
