Game changer for watching the Cincy Open
Went to the Cincy Open tennis tournament last week. Extremely hot. The players were dropping like flies. My friend and I had our sunscreen, water, long sleeves, hats and most importantly our Torras. Without the Torras, we wouldn't have been able to manage the heat all day.
I bought the Coolify2S and not the Cyber because of the longer battery life. The Coolify 2S held on all day in brutal heat, which I was sure was going to drain the battery. It didn't, thankfully. We never had to use the battery packs. I recommend it as a great workhorse model. Only improvement wd be to allow the screen on the side to show the charge level, or at least what setting it is on. The charge level is visible when charging, but when I was using it, sitting in a hot seat in direct sunlight and trying to preserve the battery, I couldn't tell. Nor could I tell what setting it was on. I think there are 9 different settings and memory settings and other stuff if you use, or hold, or don't hold the power button and/or the arrow button -no idea what the arrow button icon means BTW, cuz I was cycling through stuff with the power button and the arrow button. I was frustrated when I just wanted to be cool. I could hear the fan (does that mean I was just in fan mode tho?). It takes time for the cooling plates to cool, so I had to wait -- but how long?, or did I have to adjust the fan separately from the cooling plates? Who knows? There are not very helpful instructions. I tried to figure them out, but it was quickly apparent that I was not going to remember the steps nor have the patience to figure out how to access the different settings at the event. I tried to preset to medium cool, which I think worked. In sum, great product, well made (love the case!), excellent battery life, high quality battery pack, the cooling plates that keep your neck cool while also cooling the air blowing through the fan are game changers. I just think the options could be more streamlined. People use these things to stay cool. Don't overcomplicate it by stuffing them with unnecessary options to justify the price (high, but the thing really worked, so worth it to me). Finally, for the sake of full disclosure, I haven't figured out all the a/c options in my 10 year old car either, so it may just be me.
