The Atom Removable Padded Hipbelt

The backpack itself is very good – solid, comfortable, and functional. Unfortunately, the hip belt is a big downside. It keeps coming undone, so you have to stop, take off the backpack, and reattach it again. It’s really annoying and time-consuming. The attachment of the belt to the backpack is simply weak. I recommend the backpack itself, but definitely not the hip belt.

Great addition to my pack; worked really well in the arctic circle along with a couple of hip pockets for essentials; ideal for day hikes, lightweight missions and family days out.

Superbly comfortable

Used with my Atom RE30. I have a small body frame and this makes heavier carries more comfortable. It’s firmly padded so it sits properly on the hips giving the right amount of support. It has a low profile which fits perfectly across the small of my back so I don’t have that odd sensation that a bulky lumbar pad can give. Made a big difference to me and now my Atom is superbly comfortable.
