SoftStart Well Pump™ – 120V and 240V Water Well Pump Soft Start

It fixed the problem! I had a solar battery+inverter system that always read "overload" trying to run the pump, but with SoftStart in the mix it works fine.

Worked so far only time will tell. Lets hope this unit lasts for quite awhile.... i did notice the unit has electrical noise thats audible via human ears... sounds like a old crt making a high pitched electronic noise usually this is from cheap components being used but lets hope not... 1yr warranty so who knows it might be built 2 fail. Usually a product with built quality that stands behind their products should offer a 5 minimum yr warranty... purchased 2 test b4 buying to install in other peoples homes.

Overall good experience. Needed to dampen my 120v 1/2 hp water well pump surge on my solar system. Technical support ( Danny) was instrumental in convincing me that Soft Start could do the job. I ordered directly from Soft Start. Installation was straight forward and relatively easy. Wiring the connector plugs is a bit tricky but with patience and practice doable. Overall easy installation.
