cyan 2+hqplayer+veravox+mac mini 4 = ultra HIFI
given that I have already been using hqplayer and upscaling to dsd 512 into my old dac , when it came time to get a dac specifically for dsd , with 1024 bit and no need for oversampling , so nos only. I ended up on the forum the creator of hqplayer answers questions on. After 2 days of reading the consensus was holo audio cyan 2 is the starting point and does it correctly. I'm 400 hours into the burn in and it keeps improving. Space , depth, timbre, slam, dynamics, realism amazing. Add the built in fix in hqplayer for the dip at high frequencies which corrects the main complaint on reviews. At this price, add in hqplayer and a mac mini 4 , dsd 512 with good shaper and modulator , the combo is better than straight dacs up to 3 grand or higher. Also sounds great at pcm 1500Khz 24 bit

Holo Audio Cyan 2 - Top Tier NOS DAC
The Holo Audio Cyan 2 is a fantastic NOS DAC. I’m currently upsampling to 1536 using the native Audirvāna software and it sounds absolutely superb. Crisp, full of detail without being over-analytical, and a truly holographic soundstage when paired with Flux Mentor and HE1000SE headphones. As always, the service and support from the Elise Audio team has been second to none.
