Quill Acoustics Karma

Amazing earphones. I preferred the tips with the wide bore; with those, you can really feel the acoustic instruments being played inside your head—the soundstage remains wide and well-separated. I also tried the Azla Origin tips, but the sense of the individual notes being "plucked" gets lost; in exchange, you get a wider left-to-right soundstage and more prominent vocals. With the wide-bore tips, the vocals sit slightly further back, creating a warm, atmospheric feel. You really can't go wrong with these—just try out all the different tips you have. Eventually, you’ll find the sound you were looking for, or one that fits your current mood. It’s a brilliant concept—being able to switch between different tips instead of having to constantly swap between different pairs of earphones.

Fantatic IEMs

These sound awesome! It’s been fun seeing how different tips affect the sound. Unfortunately they don’t come with XL tips (I have dumbo ears). I was able to purchase them on line, and I love the Eletech Stage tips. Well done.

Karma, from disappointing to magnificent

I have many reference TOTL iems. I wanted a sub $1K iem that had more bass and musicality than I prefer. When the Karma arrived I put the Baroque Stage tips on. I was disappointed as I heard a tonally balanced and detailed iem with great staging and imaging. Hmmm, I switched to the Symbio W Peel tips in the box and I suddenly got the deep impactful bass and voice forward iem I wanted. It still had detail, but it delivered fantastic bass and musicality I wanted. The Karma is a keeper that most users will find fantastic. Even more magic with an upgraded cable. The stock cable sonically is excellent just not as soft and supple as I like.
