Best backzip suit

Every suit I have had from Matuse has been really good. It takes about a month for the suit to break in, but then they last for years. I have been using the same 4/3 Tumo a few times a week since 2023. This is the first backzip I've had that doesn't leak. It takes a little extra attention get in and out of with its internal suspenders, but then it's comfy, warm, and has great range of motion. In my math, it is worth it to spend the money upfront for a suit that will feel and work great for twice as long as a Boardriders-owned wetsuit brand that costs half as much but leaks and feels stiff after a season. Plus Skip McCullough wears them and he's cool.

Very warm and comfortable

I’ve never tried a Matuse wetsuit before now. I was pleasantly surprised by the warmth and minimal amount of water that trickled into the suit. Plenty flexible for paddling and surfing. The interior shoulder straps are a little strange to get into, that is my only negative note.
