Even though I carefully maintain my belt , I decided it was time to replace it after 4000 miles of hard use on my RZR 900. To my surprise, my old belt showed no signs of wear other than the edges were a bit polished. No cracking or drying whatsoever. I kept as a spare. Hunterworks belts are the only belts I will buy.
