Rocking Chair Reader's Phonics Kit

This clever set up is like having my reading manipulatives in one place. I’m using it for summer tutoring and could bring it with me anywhere! Kudos to the inventor.

As a retired reading specialist and currnet OG tutor, I was impressed with this kit when I saw it online. I was even more impressed with the quality of it when I opened it. I purchased this for my grandson who is in K. He is sometimes reluctant to engage with his reading and spelling work at home. He was impressed with the look and feel of the kit. He seemed to carry it with an air of authority, or business-like. I did a directed activity with him when I first gave it to him. Then, on his own, he got the kit and used it in his own way to write out a word and then a whole phrase - using sound spelling. I bought this (not cheap!) for him to use over the summer to keep his skills strong.

Great product. Easy to use and organized. Helps support decoding and encoding.
