This bag is perfect! I purchased it as a gift for my husband when he began his doctoral program; I wanted something durable, handsome, and large enough to hold all his books/laptop/cords/etc. I love that this bag has both an external and internal zipper pocket for quick access of small things like wallet, mints, cell phone, etc. Also important is that the main zipper opening does not require unbuckling straps etc. for access, as some satchels do. Great interior space; husband easily fit his laptop, notebook, planner, five books, and charger and accessories in the main space. The outside pockets hold a lot of accessories as well; the only downside to these is that they have to be unbuckled for access, and the buffalo leather is pretty stiff at the outset. Changing the functional buckle to a decorative buckle with a magnetic snap would be a real functional improvement here. The leather is beautiful and has a lot of character; I can tell it's going to patina beautifully. Perfect bag!

VERY nice bag. A little stiff when it arrived, but I expect it will loosen up as the leather breaks in.
