Not Happy Customer

Bought this bike as a replacement gift for the original one we purchased, as it quickly was out of stock. Christmas morning comes and we find out the bike came with a broken throttle handle. When I contacted the company they said they would send a new throttle handle out. I'm not a mechanic. How am I supposed to know how to replace a throttle handle??? At this point I just want a refund and for them to take the bike back and give us the original one we wanted or I'd like to get one from a more reputable company that does quality checks on their inventory.
