Cascade Getaway

Excellent pockets. I especially like the side one that can unzip to expand to accommodate my 40! ounce water bottle (vented in case of spills) and the vertical one beside it that is great at discretely holding a wallet, planner or passport. It's not accessible to any pickpocket but easy to access when I need it. Easy to keep clean. Excellent bag.

This bag is EXACTLY what I have been searching for! I had previously purchase the RTIC Backpack Cooler but it was too large and my laptop did not fit the horizontal pocket. I returned the RTIC and have had my eye on this Portland Getaway and decided to go ahead. I am so glad I did and have no regrets. The backpack portion is perfect, and I have an upcoming trip to Las Vegas and plan to take this bag. Once I return, I will gladly fill this Getaway bag with my work items, laptop and my daily lunch meals. Very, very happy with my bag!!

The bag is quite roomy and has enough divisions to make it easy to work with when using packing cubes. If you use the divider and load the top and then pull stuff out of the bottom it tends to slump a bit inconveniently so I skipped the divider for the current trip. The backpack straps are quite comfortable. It would be nice to have a bag that I could put the whole thing in if I really need to check it. That's an optional item I would probably purchase.
