Cascade Backpack - Compact

I am finishing up a 3 week trip to Spain and this backpack has been perfect as my carry on and an all purpose bag. I love the blue color and the material - very sturdy but lightweight. The main compartment and pockets are easily accessible. No trouble finding anything in this bag! Very happy with my purchase. I would also add that when my initial order was somehow sent pack to PG, they immediately sent a new one that arrived in time for my trip. Excellent customer service, thank you!

This is my second Portland Gear backpack. I have the large version which is the absolute perfect backpack, great for travel. I wanted a second bag for taking to work as a nurse. I chose the smaller version for this. I am happy with the space inside the bag. However, I cannot fit a water bottle in the side pouches and the front zip pouch is considerably smaller. I give the large version a 10/10 and the small a 7/10.

Took this with me for wondering around the Disney parks in Orlando. I found it to be comfortable and could hold a load of snacks, water, a light jacket and miscellaneous electronics with ease. Best of all it was really easy to find everything inside because the opening is quite generous allowing for easy access to the inside. 2 things I would change first is the exterior side pockets which are very restrictive, they should have more room perhaps be elastic to make them easier to use, I couldn’t put my 18oz bottle in those pockets until the bag was emptied. Second I would add load levelers, this may be a small backpack but I am a small woman and would greatly appreciate more adjustable when carrying a heavier load.
