VGR GameCube Lid Switch

I love them the fact that you can build them yourself or have them already assembled for an affordable price. Makes my restoration business go by a lot smoother and better thank you.

I ordered the VGR GameCube Lid switch version 2.0 Assembled with bypass. The installation quick, just one screw and one connector. I had my GC open to replace the front controller panel and dropped this in while I was there. After I got the magnet adjusted correctly it was like magic, I could hear when the magnet engaged the reed switch and the spindle motor spun up. I DO recommend following the (great) instructions provided by the seller. (youtube)The most difficult part of the installation I found was aligning the magnet to activate the reed switch but again the seller works you though it in the video and text documentation. Works as described. Had to fiddle with the mangetic switch to make sure it lined up with the magnet on the lid. Extremely easy install.
