These are weight plates, nothing fancy. For the price, you are going to get exactly what you're paying for and the vibes of old school iron. Only issues I've encountered were: the finish is not holding up particularly well and a few of the plates are an obvious different shade than the others; and a few of the plates have a very sharp edge. I cut my finger pretty good just lightly bumping into one of them on my first lifting session. I feel like a grinder wheel would make super quick work of this, but not what I expected out of the box.
