You definitely need two people to put this together. And even then it took me almost 4 hours. But … this is great quality and it’s certainly a cat mansion. I feel it could easily fit 8 or more cats so it works perfectly with my four. When placing outside, you do need to pick a level location and think about your flooring. Digging down a couple inches and placing chicken wire, then recovering with dirt is not a bad idea to make sure nothing can burrow into it. Also, if you do the vertical set up pictured add some more door latches. To the bottom entry to make it more secure. And if you have kids, consider adding a cabinet child lock so they don’t inadvertently “free” your kitties into the wild.
