Great product. Saves your knees climbing in truck. And works good as a table. Second one i have owned.

Had one of these for my 3rd Gen and loved it. The design for the 4th gen is no where near as good. The 4th gen Mountain Hatch just gets added on top of the oem taigate insert instead if replacing it. This makes it thicker and heavier. The bigger problem is the mounting hardware. Since it’s so thick and there is no recess for the hardware (like in the 3rd gen version) you have to replace the stock hardware with longer screws, though when you snug them down they almost disappear into the plastic which would make removal a nightmare… They really at least need washers to prevent this. And being so heavy, you all but lose any dampening, and the tailgate slams open. Not at all what I was excited for. 3rd gen version-5 stars. 4th gen version 1 star. Looks good, but install and function are no good at all in my opinion.

Perfect tailgate hatch for cooking setting your drinks or anything on without having to worry about anything spilling. I highly recommend this for all outdoor activities
