Paint Your Photo

Was initially a bit daunted by the slightly different shades of black and grey but the finished effect is amazing. So happy with it, looks like a photo from afar!!

Was quite a challenge, but with some adjustments i think i nailed it. It is a pity that the canvas always has the foldingmarks, which are very hard to get rid of. Even ironing will not solve this problem! Maybe it would be better to be enrolled in a plastic tube??

These are both taken from photographs my daughter in law took of Plymouth harbour, USA, which is where she is from but hasn't been back to for a few years. These, along with another that I am still painting, are as a reminder for her and for my grandson to see where his mum grew up. Painting your own photo is so special, I can't recommend it enough and needless to say, she is made up with them and can't wait to see the third one when it's finished!
