Best value for DCC turnout control
For controlling turnouts from your DCC throttle. Works great! Though it only has output for 2 devices, it has the power to throw multiple turnouts from each output. It can throw the Kato double crossover which has 4 switch motors wired together, or a pair of Peco 3-wire solenoid switch motors from a single output. In many ways, this is a better device than Digitrax’s DS74. It only controls two turnout addresses vs. 4 for the DS74, but you can buy two of these for less than one 74. And it operates from track power, whereas the DS74 requires a separately purchased power supply. You can also program non-sequential addresses into the DS52 while the 74 requires them to be sequential.
