I launched my new Alpha rocket three times using the A8-3 rocket engine and the launches went flawlessly. The engines were consistent in their power and parachute ejection function. The altitude reached by the A8-3 engines was perfect. The A8-3 rocket engine is very reliable.

Great starter engines

I’d experienced these engines years ago, so I knew what to expect, but to see the expression on my grandsons face when his Alpha 3 rocket took off and ejected its bright orange parachute was priceless

Waiting for launch

I haven't used these engines yet, but I have used Estes engines several times in the past and have never had a due or misfire. Estes offers a wide range of engines and products, and their website is very user friendly.
