These boots were made for working
I appreciate that Keen has great customer service. I purchased these boots online without trying them on and not ever owning a pair of this specific model. But, I have had multiple models of Keen boots over the years. I actually had an issue with a previous pair of Evanston boots that Keen credited back to me. With that credit I acquired these Cincinnati boots. They are a bit chunkier and boot-like compared to the Evanstons which are more of a hike style boot. The soles on the Cincinnatis are thicker and they have a clunkier feel when walking. But, they feel high quality and will definitely protect your feet all around. I do recommend them, but I would probably go back to a hiker style in the future.

First Impression: Built for Work
I’ve been wearing the Men’s Cincinnati 6” Waterproof 90° Heel Boot (Carbon Toe) in Belgian/Sandshell for two weeks of heavy use. They feel solid without feeling like ankle weights. Slightly heavier than a soft toe, noticeably lighter than steel toe. The carbon toe gives protection without the “cinder block” feeling at the front of your foot. Fit was true to size. No break-in period for the leather or base. No toe box pinch when kneeling or bending, which I’ve had with other brands. That was a win. Only issue so far is a small pressure point from the tongue near the top of the left boot. Not painful, just noticeable. I’m hoping it settles in with wear. Comfort-wise, I put in a 12-hour day right out of the box with no problems. Stood on concrete, walked a few miles, moved across asphalt and uneven wooded terrain. They handled it well. Traction has been good overall. Gravel is solid. Dry shop floors are fine. Wet surfaces can be a little slick, but controlled. I slipped once in mud, nothing unexpected for a work boot, but the heel caught before slipping too much. The 90° heel feels functional, not decorative. Waterproofing held up in a downpour and through puddles. Feet stayed dry. They breathe reasonably well for a waterproof boot. Some sweat, but not excessive. I haven’t dropped anything heavy on my foot, but a 300-pound coworker stood full weight on the toes and I felt nothing. We were both impressed. These are work boots, not fashion boots. That said, they still look professional enough to walk into a meeting on-site without feeling underdressed. Overall, I’m impressed. Aside from the minor tongue pressure point, they’ve been comfortable, protective, and reliable so far. These are for: • People on concrete all day • Range and field workers • Industrial / construction • Anyone who needs protection and professionalism These are not for someone chasing the “rugged Instagram aesthetic. ” Final Verdict: Strong boot. Comfortable out of the box. True to size. Carbon toe is legit. Waterproofing works. Professional look. Only flaw so far is that pressure point at the tongue on the left boot. If that resolves with wear, this becomes an easy recommendation.

After receiving my second pair of the same boots. But the only difference so far seems to be that the insoles are a lot more comfortable. And this boot is more durable. No complaints so far everything is holding together. Can’t wait to try another pair.
