I know what you're thinking! There is a lazer machine at large chain pet companies. True, but they are not as lite-weight, and one is limited to the amount of info that can be eched on. I was so happy when I could use both sides of these tags with All the info I wanted to share. My dog has gotten lose before (I came across him later), so I sleep better now that he has this tag!
