Im very impressed with the nox 900. It's easy to maneuver the menu. The depth detection is awesome. It can easily detect a target of 14 inches in most conditions. Once you learn the numbers you're not fooled often. Pennys, nickels, dimes and quarters are easily identified, most of the time. I haven't found any gold jewelery or silver for that matter, but it gives consistent numbers on various test I have performed with gold and silver. It's lite weight and easy to use. It's just a all around good machine for a beginner detectorist.
