Air Tech Light Ice Axe

Lightweight, built to last

When this axe finally arrived I was suprised by how light it actually is. I ordered the 58 cm axe at 6ft 1 and it is perfect. The main blade is very sharp and it comes with a Grivel rubber grip over the middle of the head and handle to prevent your hands from getting cold. I tested this axe on Mount Washington and it had no problem supporting my weight and putting up with swinging into ice on the regular. I hope to continue using this for a long time as it is built insanely well and feels like a feather.

Lightweight and strong!

Just used this on Mt Elbrus and found it to be an excellent solid all-around mountaineering axe for use on snow climbs and basic glacier routes. Its light weight for this price point is its USP.

When I first received the box I thought it was empty. After opening the box I saw that the items inside were indeed ultralight ice axes. Close inspection indicates that these axes are fit for alpine climbing, sharp razor edges, careful when removing the wrapping from them. Big fan of the weight, better light than heavy when ounces equal pounds.
