Rainbow Treasure Strawberry (F1 Hybrid)

Pretty.

This was my first time starting strawberries from seed. Had in fridge 6 weekd got 3 to germinate. Theyre now blooming but only white. I see some reviews some people have only pink! Funny. Im guessing more colour expressions will show as it ages.

Rainbow treasure strawberry seeds

This was my second season of growing strawberries from seed, but it was the first time I sowed 'Rainbow Treasure'. Previously, I had grown ABZ Delizz strawberries from seed, which is an AAS winner touted for its ornamental qualities. My experience with 'Rainbow Treasure' strawberry seeds was excellent. Out of 15 seeds, all but 2 produced healthy plants. I started the seeds in late January. Now, between 12 - 16 weeks later, several plants are already producing pink blooms. I will probably hold them back from producing fruit from these early blooms until thee plants are bigger and better established. Overall, the plants are as vigourous as the ABZ Delizz variety and no less ornamental. If fruit yields are your main goal, there are probably better varieties. But if you are seeking edible ornamentals, this strawberry variety is an excellent choice.
