I’ve recently switched from a longsleeve Airtex hooded shirt to a longsleeve hooded rashguard when paddling OC-1. The reason being I’m also using a PFD on a regular basis when paddling. It provides a smoother, unbunched up feel under the PFD. I prefer a hat, FLORENCE Sun Runner, to wearing a hood most of the time but the hood does provide the additional sun protection in the down position. When I do wear the hood it doesn’t flop around as it would with the Airtex. For any paddlers that prefer a form fitting top with excellent sun protection I highly recommend it.
