Snowdrift Tokoname Teapot (Kyūsu)

Precisely molded/turned pot with a very good filter and fast pourout. Makes an excellent cup of sencha as it was designed to, seems alright for black tea as well. Same pot would have cost me $68 plus shipping from a Japanese shop, so thanks to Teasource for the good deal. My unit did come with an obvious firing mark on the back and tiny chip on the bottom rim, but for bare clayware some imperfections are to be expected, and the pot was packed very well.

Beautiful teapot made by knowledgeable craftspeople. Good price for this high quality. The ceramic screen works well for all teas, but especially for Japanese teas. I was happy to be able to see this in the store and buy it locally. Tea Source makes expert selections in their teas and teaware.
