My daughter has needed to wear AFOs from 9 y/o to 11 y/o. The Billy shoe brand is the best we have found for ease/comfort getting them on and keeping them on, and the most durable that we have found. My only complaint is there are a lot of fun colors/patterns for younger children, but those same patterns are not available in adult sizes. Most kids wear adult sizes before middle school, and they want those fun patterns too!
