The Monos was not my first "new" carry on I tried to buy this year. And let's be clear. I LOVED my old hard side expandable. But the wheels were starting to go and it kept sticking while trying to wheel it through an airport. I have been putting off buying a new bag, and I did a lot of research. Ended up buying the highest rated one...and RETURNING IT! That laptop case took up an ENTIRE side of the suitcase, rendering it ridiculous for normal trips without a laptop. BUT...the Monos laptop compartment is small and leaves room for clunky shoes and clothes behind it (on that side). I took my new Monos on its first flight and it held up well. It felt a little bit wide for the baggage compartment at the very front of the plane, but I rarely sit all the way up front. And the compartment still closed with wheels in first. got a couple of scratches, but i bought the olive on purpose as i figured darker was better. Once I got to my destination, I did some shopping. I wasn't sure if it would act like a Mary Poppins (or Hermione Granger if that's your thing) bag, but it DID. And the compression flap is AMAZING. I bought 4 shirts, a short sleeve sweater, a dress, and a two piece pants outfit, plus a small piece of art and a souvenir plastic cup, and i got it all in there without expanding the bag. That's the kind of suitcase a traveler like me needs!

This suitcase works so well! Super easy to pull and plenty of room (especially when paired with the Metro Duffel). Love this combo.

Best carry-on

This is my 2nd carry-on. Very functional, keeps clothes organized and neatly folded. Strong and sturdy material—Will not falter on cobblestone and rough surfaces. Durable.
