The Powerlifting Program Design Manual
This is a good book for anyone looking for more information on what a powerlifting program should look like. The book is clearly written and follows a logical sequence. The book provides a practical and actionable explanation of both the long term strategy and the day-to-day techniques and tactics needed to build your own annual training program. Upon completion of the book, you will be able to evaluate individual athletes and establish appropriate initial exercises, loading volume and intensities and then program hypertrophy, strength, peak, deload and bridge blocks based on individual capabilities. I found the information included sufficient to answer all of my questions and did not feel the need to reference other books for any missing information. The book does contain a few editorial/print mistakes such as duplicate pages and printed editor notes but it does not take away from the quality of information provided and are insignificant. I will continue to reference this book in both my personal and professional capacities.

I think the book is very good, but it needs to be revised. The information seems a bit outdated and could be more up-to-date. Other than that, I’m very satisfied with it.
