Best Travel Vest for Men

I got an email from ScotteVest asking me to review the Best Travel Vest I recently ordered. I have been dabbling in minimalist one-bag travel recently and thought I’d try to add the vest to my game. I frequently go to Las Vegas to play poker and thought this would be useful for getting through TSA and for carrying comfort items, multiple wallets, power banks, and charging cables while playing poker. As I prepared for my trip, I found myself loading the vest up with more than I really needed. Also, walking around in Las Vegas during the summer made me want to avoid adding another layer. I do wear a hoodie when I play because sometimes the poker rooms are highly air conditioned. After prepping my travel gear, I ended up leaving the vest at home and using a belt pack for playing and an Osprey Daylite Sling for travel day. I wish I had fully considered my options and gotten the ScotteVest hoodie instead. I will look for future opportunities to try the vest, but at this point I just don’t see it being practical for my style. As far as quality goes, I wish it had more rigid material to keep the structure in the pockets when filled. I also wish the zippers on all the pockets were the same quality as the main zipper (the tiny zipper pulls on the drop-in pockets are too small and appear cheap).

I love my new vest, it is a bit heavier than I expected, but extremely comfortable, with lots of options for carrying essentials. I no longer need to cary a backpack or man bag, there is a spot to stow away everything i carry.

Pockets galore

This vest has so many pockets I will need to write a guide book to find everything I can put in them so I can find it later. Getting ready for a trip to Scotland and this will be perfect. It has also shown its versatility in every day use so it is a win win. Well made, good fit and attractive colors. I am very pleased.
