Superb quality. Large cookbook, opens notebook style even though traditionally bound. Semi gloss paper. Easy read. Indexes, hints, variations. I especially like it when the base recipe ingredients and prep are given then a list of many variations only by changing one ingredient. Excellent. Recipes easy to follow. For cooks of all levels. Lots of hints and recommendations. If you've seen Tawra on YouTube, and followed her for hours as I have, you can hear her talking you through these recipes. She has a great, direct style that makes the recipes easy to follow. When I received these books I was going to look up a specific recipe but soon got lost in all the splendid cooking variations, hints, suggestions that I found myself a few hours later, my head swimming with ideas, my notebook filled with notes and ideas I was excited to try. So much so, I completely forgot my original search. I quickly looked it up and was pleasantly surprised to find my 2 ingredient fudge recipe had the base ingredients plus 13 variations by changing one ingredient. Perfect. This is a common theme through out. I first found Tawra on You Tube and spent hours following her videos. She has a direct, positive attitude thst it's okay to make mistakes and shows how to correct or change course. As I read thru these recipes I can hear her as she demonstrates the process and provides hints. The Dining on a Dime cookbooks are heavy, very well made and easy to read and follow. The food photography is superb. I am 78 with a vast collection of cookbooks and recipes and these 2 volumes of Dining on a Dime are at the top of my list. Research on older recipes is superb. I live in a retirement community and these cookbooks are the envy of many. Especially the inclusion of the original recipe cards. Many have committed; "That's just the way my family made this" Or a little change here or there. Much laughter as we compared recipes. Many good memories. These cookbooks are more than just recipes, they are a trip down memory lane.

Best cookbook I have ever had!

This cookbook has so many easy to follow recipes with easy ingredients it makes it a joy to cook. Not only that, but she’s adding so many extra elements to the back of the book! It’s unbelievable! I love this cookbook!
