An absolutely great read! And the 10th anniversary edition hardback cover is so beautiful and feels really nice to the touch!
Whyborne, Griffin and the delightfully sassy Christine have to solve a mystery in Threshold, a mining town in West Virginia.
There is folklore, romance and horror.
There are also some quotes that made me giggle, like:
(Whyborne reading someone else's letter aloud)
《"My dearest pudding pie," I read aloud.
"Yes, my little turnip?"
"Hilarious," I muttered. "If you ever call me anything of the sort again, we shall have words."》
In addition to being fun, mysterious and scary, this book also had its emotional parts.
