I never heard of St. Ezequiel before reading this book. I bought the book because the topic was on liberalism, which I was interested in. I was not disappointed. St. Ezequiel was a bishop in Columbia at the end of the 19th century and powerful defender of the Church's traditional social teachings. His writings to his flock recorded in this book offer powerful but eloquent arguments for defending Mother Church against liberalism in their own communities. Nor does he shy away from being critical of those within the Church who accept liberal ideas. It is very inspirational for our own times.
