Askar 103APO Refractor Telescope (ASKAR-103APO)

My first ED Refractor

I did a lot of research before purchasing the Askar 103APO as this was my first purchase of a ED glass refractor. I am impressed with the build quality and for the price - quite outstanding. The views are quite good and there are no colour halos around the full moon and the fine focusing results in sharp views (with good lenses). I am using this telescope for viewing but may move into astrophotography later. Thanks All-Star.

Fantastic Scope for the Money

This is my first Apochromatic telescope. With so many choices All Star recommended the Askar 103 APO The build quality is good and with a connected 533MC monochromatic camera I was able to develop the attached image.

Askar 103APO

Solid scope, good build. I ordered it with all 3 flattener/reducers. only have used 1x and 0.6x so far. Optical quality is better than my FPL-53 doublet I use to have. I use it mainly for narrow band imaging and didn't see much CA in my image.
