ACE Iona V2 - Black Linen - My first GiantMouse knife...

I just got a new ACE Iona V2 - Black Linen. This is my first GiantMouse knife. It was purchased to replace a Benchmade that was my EDC for over 20 years, so needless to say it has A LOT to live up to! **AND, please take this review with a grain of salt, knowing that the Benchmade is the only other knife I've ever owned and carried on my person for over two decades,and hence, my only basis for comparison.** It came nicely sharp out of the box. The finish of the blade,and scales were beautiful. I also changed out the wire clip for the GiantMouse Deep Carry Clip (which I also highly recommend doing). First thing I noticed when I first put it in my pocket (and I'm not sure whether it's a good or a bad thing),is that compared to my Benchmade, this knife is light as a feather! I barely realize that I'm carrying it, whereas, there was no mistaking the heft of the Benchmade in my pocket. It feels a bit smaller in my hand, length and girth-wise, but not too much so. Deployment of the blade with the thumb stud is very smooth and without effort. Overall, I'm extremely impressed with every aspect of this knife!, so it gets 5 stars from me... I suppose that only time will tell if it will be the worthiest successor to the Benchmade I carried for so many years. M.
