Easier to pack with all the same benefits as the other original bag. I only wish it were lighter itself, as the protection it gives adds weight, but I am using two of these and some other, older less heavy packing/ vacuum bags as I am traveling for two months abroad, and it works great. Just don't forget the vacuum!
