Self-Cleaning Litter Box

To be honest, there are pros and cons to this litter box. I am going with four stars because it definitely is a major upgrade from my former cheap litter robot, but it definitely isn’t perfect for such a high price (but truthfully nothing is perfect). It covers up the litter scent VERY well. I live in a smaller home, so my cat’s litter boxes have been in my office. This litter robot has been life changing when it comes to covering up the smell, especially since I work in the same room as it. Due to the flowery scent it blows after cleaning, the litter box even smells GOOD now which was very surprising. Litter tracking has almost been cut down completely. I honestly wasn’t expecting the design to help with litter tracking as much as it did, but I have noticed little to no litter granules around the box. This used to be a big issue for me with other brands, so every morning I would walk into my office and it felt like the room was a sand box. Pet Snowy has been life changing in that regard as well. Now what we really want to know is the cons to purchasing this litter box. The main issue I have is the price and cleaning cycle, because truthfully the litter cleaning aspect of it isn’t crazy innovative compared to other litter robots. It smears just as much as other litter robots, so I’m still finding that I am having to do a deep clean just as often as I used to. Today, when I was checking the litter level I noticed some intense smearing had occurred, so I popped off the top and removed the globe completely. In doing so I discovered the rotating globe somehow had soft poo on the underside of it, which of course was pretty yucky. Although, this litter box was so good at covering the scent that I had been completely oblivious to it. This is my only issue with it so far, but it’s pretty comparable to other litter robots. I do like that the design is a closed box so I do not have to visually see a dirty litter box everyday, I only have to whenever I open it up to clean and add litter.

It took a few days for our cat to get used to it, but it now seems to be going well. The alerts when cleaning are a little sensitive, so you have to work through those. Otherwise, it has helped with mess and odors tremendously and works as advertised.
