The straw situation is SO frustrating! I’ve spilled iced coffee more than once because liquid seems to flick out of the straw when I take a quick sip. I can’t quite explain what’s happening, but I’m almost guaranteed to end up with drops of coffee on the lid and, in my case, around my car’s cupholder. The straw also sat so close to the bottom of the cup that it seemed to affect the suction and made it difficult to drink normally. I actually ended up cutting the bottom of the straw at an angle, which helped quite a bit. What makes this review frustrating is that I otherwise LOVE the cup. The Brown Leopard color is gorgeous, and the insulation is fantastic. My ice stays nearly solid for at least 12 hours. The cup itself feels great and performs exactly how I hoped it would. But that straw is so finicky that it genuinely affects the experience of using the cup every day. I somehow love this cup and hate this cup at the same time. For something at this price point, the straw design should work much better. One star...not for the look or insulation, but for the engineering of that straw.
