Classroom Green Laser Pointer (Class 3R)

A problem getting the needed result with this Class 3r laser pointer.

I lead an architectural tour and wanted to try using a laser pointer to sometimes point out details which I am talking about. The range of the one I bought is less than fifty feet in daylight, slightly more if the area is in shadow. At night the range is tremendous - but that has no relevance to what I need it for. I ordered a Class 3R because I thought that would be powerful enough for my purpose and that it was safer to use in public than a Class 3. I'm not sure if I understand that correctly. Perhaps I should try buying a Class 3 and see if that works better. I will of course be vary careful in where and how I point the beam.

Laser Pointers

The Green, Red and Blue-Violet pens arrived and I am very satisfied. Shipping was fast from the Classroom but delayed due to weather; arrived in good shape, well packaged and each with its own display box and batteries included. The Green is slightly different model and somewhat superior in that it has a focus feature; though this is not necessary as the pointers are collimated very well for at least 20 feet; the focus is very handy though. Good products, good prices; and really the only source of very low power pointers; even at low power they are quite bright in sunny rooms.
