Lively big band sound and an excellent transfer
Lively big band sound from the most popular bandleader of post-WWII Britain. Good playing, good arrangements, in a collection of dozen big hit songs: Three Coins in the Fountain, Unchained Melody, My Foolish Heart, Secret Love, Moulin Rouge, etc. Mostly high quality material. Well recorded by Decca, but I've not been able to find which producer/engineer was responsible. (Not listed in any Kenneth Wilkinson discography I can find, as are a couple other Ted Heath recordings.) It is overall a lovely sounding album for those who enjoy big band music of the era. The transfer from LP is excellent, once again.
