Acai Berry Fix Defining Gel 300ml

Light, soft gel but not for 3+ curl types

After using the Bamboo Ginseng Curling Glaze for nearly a year now (as recommended by my amazing hairdresser specializing in curly hair), I decided to branch out and try the Açaí Berry Fix Defining Gel. My hair feels very soft and moisturized with the gel, however I think this product is misnamed as a gel, which often implies a strong hold with good definition. My curls have gone relatively wispy and frizzy when using this product, while the curling glaze gave me all day hold, definition, and just a shiny vibrance that makes me feel and look good. Perhaps the gel is better for wavy hair types, not 3+ curls. I love Trepadora products and will 100% go back to the curling glaze (in combo with the Papaya Slip Taming Lotion).

I tried to use it as a base gel, but it didn’t clump my hair nor gives me the weight I need to elongated my tight type 4 hair. I didn’t get slip either. It’s protein based, so maybe that’s why? It’s a good topper gel, but I prefer bamboo ginseng or papaya slip
