Challenging but rewarding embroidery pattern

The homestead is a lovely embroidery pattern to follow, and while challenging for a beginner; the end result is worthwhile and very pretty.

Loved this design

I loved working this design, but used my own colour palette as I felt it was a bit too pink for a little boy's nursery. I gifted it for his 1st birthday and it was very well received. I had to wash it before it was framed and it bubbled probably due to the two layers of fabric shrinking differently. Encouraging friends said that this added to the texture of the farm landscape!! Pressing on the back with steam and stretching didn't work. Moral: always use a grime guard!
