Perhaps, its subtle aroma was deliberate to live up to its name and supposed purpose. I would recommend using this in a smaller room or by your bedside to fully unlock its potential. Using it in a large room would defeat it's purpose as its aroma is very mild; we could hardly detect the scent in the air. It has a calming effect when you get a whiff of it though. Its earthy scent evokes a feeling of quiet, calm, and relaxation.
