NLT SonRise - Semi Yapp

Beautifully made book, and the included etchings and gilt edge art add quite a bit to the excellent- and unique- presentation. I am a person who loves books of all types, and it is a pleasure to find one so exquisitely presented. The NLT translation, new to me, feels like cheating compared to trying to read the KJV, but then it is so much more accessible and clear. I wish that Humble Lamb would do an ESV translation, and also consider a wide margin.

We have collected and gifted many humble lamb bibles, and the NLT is quickly becoming one of our favorites for a few key reasons: 1. The font and text block (width, height) is large and easy on the eyes 2. The format is easy to read and highly engaging 3. The supple leather feels and smells great, and the bible lays flat for easy reading on any surface. (It's OK if you smell it every time you pick it up, we do too.) 4. The gilding is beautiful. 5. This is a hard to find translation in the premium bible world, and it's also one of the easiest translations to sit down and read for a bible-in-a-year reading format. Humble Lamb has made this translation much more accessible with the SonRise! This translation is meant to be easy to read aloud or alone, much like a novel, while still communicating the intent of each sentence. It's like Google Translate for your Bible! If you are looking for a special Bible for yourself and want something that's easier to read than the bibles in the pews at your local church, this is probably the perfect translation for you! Beautiful Bible

The wonderful goatskin, the layout of the Bible, the size of the font--this Bible quickly become my favorite to read. Absolutely love it! The only con for me--wish it had been a full yapp Bible.
