Great quality leather boots

I am very pleased with my boot purchase, and you can feel the quality of the leather. They are a little bit snug compared to my Tecovas and Justins in the same size, but 1/2 larger might have been too long. I would recommend these boots.

I wear an 81/2 with all my all my shoes. I ordered 81/2 and I could not get the left boot on and the right boot was extremely tight. I returned them for a size 9 and that fits loose. I have 3 other pair of boots from Tecovas and they are 81/2 and fit fine. The capitan boots are well made and look great. They just seem to fit on the small side. I still want to purchase other pairs.

Squeak every step I take

I do want to say I have another pair that I haven’t had issues with so far. Both boots have started to squeak every time I take a step. I’ve switched to leather insoles and tried other things like cornstarch to get it to go away. Thought it might go away over time but looks like a shank issue. Other than that they were breaking in well just stiff when brand new. I typically wear a 12.5 in shoes and a 12 in these fit good. I did try 11.5 but felt too snug
